Indreabhán, Co. na Gaillimhe, Éire, 3 Márta 2007. Ghlac Pádraig Ó Clúmháin agus Daithí Mac Lochlainn thar ceann Chumann Carad na Gaeilge an chéad áit i gComórtas Domhanda Ghlór na nGael urraithe le Foras na Gaeilge d'eagraíochtaí agus d'imeachtaí na Gaeilge i dtíortha nach Éire. Tairgeann Pádraig agus Daithí a n-am dena ndeoin féin mar oifigigh i gCumann Carad na Gaeilge. Tá Pádraig ina Rúnaí Ballraíochta, tá Daithí ina Rúnaí Um Mhúineadh, agus tá 6 Mhúinteoir Idirlín ag an gCumann an trian seo, cúig Mheiriceánach agus Éireannach le Daithí agus Pádraig ina measc.
Bhronn an tAire Éamonn Ó Cuív, TD an trófaí do Phádraig agus Dhaithí. Léigh an tUasal Lorcán Mac Gabhann, Príomhfheidhmeannach Ghlór na nGael, stair Chumann Carad na Gaeilge agus tuairisc faoi thacaíocht a thugann an Cumann do scoláirí, imeachtaí, agus eagraíochtaí na Gaeilge. Dúirt Daithí "Táimid buíoch ar fad de Ghlór na nGael as ucht na deise le cuairt a chur an an nGaeltacht, agus is aoibhinn a fheiceáil go bhfuil a fhios ag daoine anseo i 'bhFoinse na Teanga' ar ár saothar thar lear. Cuireann sin bród an domhain orainn." Dúirt Pádraig sa bhreis "Ba mhaith linn ár mbuíochas a thabhairt dosna daoine go léir ag Glór na nGael agus Foras na Gaeilge. Is onóir iontach é seo. Agus freisin táimid buíoch desnár gcairdre go léir timpeall an domhain atá ag obair d'athbheochan na Gaeilge agus do lucht na Gaeilge. Comhghairdeachas libh go léir."

THE PHILO-CELTIC SOCIETY WINS GLÓR NA nGAEL'S GLOBAL GAEILGE COMPETITION!
Indreabhán, Co. na Gaillimhe, Ireland, March 3, 2007. Pádraig Ó Clúmháin and Daithí Mac Lochlainn accepted on behalf of The Philo-Celtic Society first place in Glór na nGael's Global Gaeilge Competition sponsored by Foras na Gaeilge for Irish language organizations and activities outside Ireland. Pádraig and Daithí volunteer their time as officers of The Philo-Celtic Society. Pádraig is Membership Secretary, Daithí is Secretary For Teaching, and the Society has six Internet Teachers this semester, five Americans and an Irishman including Daithí and Pádraig.
The Minister Éamonn Ó Cuív, TD presented the trophy to Pádraig and Daithí. Mr. Lorcán Mac Gabhann, Chief Executive of Glór na nGael, read a history of The Philo-Celtic Society and a report about its support for Irish language students, activities, and organizations. Daithí said "We're very thankful to Glór na nGael for this opportunity to visit the Gaeltacht, and it's wonderful to see that people here in 'The Source of the Language' know what we're doing overseas. That makes us extremely proud." Pádraig added "We want to thank everyone at Glór na nGael and Foras na Gaeilge. This is a wonderful honor. And we're also thankful to all our friends around the world who are working for the renaissance of the Irish language and for the Irish language community. Congratulations to you all."
